Preet Gill
Preet Gill is no stranger to hard work. While at Clackamas High School, her Humanities class sparked an interest in learning about other cultures and societies, while her IT class prepared her for a college-level workload of reading and tests.
Those two courses, her favorites, assured her that her choice of studying sociology at Portland State University was a good one.
“I plan on majoring in sociology in addition to completing courses for pre-med since I plan on becoming a family practitioner,” Preet explains. “During med school for at least one summer I would like to study abroad while using my skills to help others in need.”
Preet will put her $1,250 Foundation scholarship toward her tuition.
“I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the people who made this possible, and how valuable it is to me and my future,” said Preet. “I hope the Foundation continues to help other students pay for college so they can have bright futures, too.”
