At our second annual Building Bridges Luncheon, we honored Kathy Harrison with a Bridge Builder Award for her decades of service to North Clackamas students, educators, and families. Please read more about Kathy below and appreciate the incredible impact she has had on our community.

Kathy Harrison has dedicated over 18 years to strengthening the connection between schools and the community through her work with NCSD and the North Clackamas Education Foundation. A true bridge builder, Kathy’s passion has always been bringing people together for a greater purpose.
During her time in Community Relations, she helped establish the Parent Community Leadership Alliance (PCLA), guided school naming and boundary projects, supported successful bond measures, and contributed to growing donations and community engagement—paving the way for the Foundation to hire its first Executive Director.
Kathy also led the district’s volunteer program, coordinating over 20 volunteer leaders and more than 7,000 volunteers annually. Under her leadership, programs like the Summer Food Program provided lunches to over 12,000 children, and the Backpack Buddy Program served approximately 600 students in partnership with 17 community groups. As Family Support Coordinator, Kathy worked tirelessly to meet the essential needs of students and families across the district—distributing food, clothing, backpacks, and hygiene items to more than 10,000 families, 21,000 children, and 43,000 individuals in just the past year.
Thanks to her vision and commitment, thousands of students and families have received care and resources through a network of dedicated community partners. Kathy’s legacy is one of compassion, collaboration, and unwavering service to others. Thank you, Kathy!
