North Clackamas is facing the most challenging time in the history of our school district during this financial crisis. After making substantial staff reductions in our fourth year of reduced funding, the most noticeable impact is that class sizes, but there have been schedule cuts, school closures, increased fees, and more children coming to school not prepared. Our Annual Gala Dinner and Auction raises funds to help advance our mission to bridge the gap between district funding and unmet student needs. All funds go directly into the North Clackamas schools community, as an investment in our kids
The success of our Auction is directly related to the generous contributions from Friends of NCEF and the community.
This year's Gala was a great success! We raised over $70,000 for school activities, scholarships, teacher grants, and family support programs.
The night was filled with many fun moments and included presentations from the students who attend North Clackamas Schools. Sabin-Schellenberg Center presented displays of their programs and students from the nursing, agriculture, and electronics department were there to talk with guests. The night featured an incredible video created by the Broadcasting and Digital Media class, and the desserts for the night were hand made by the students in the Culinary Department. Clackamas High School, Rowe, and Rock Creek orchestras played at the event while students studying Criminal Justice directed traffic and kept an eye on everything. The photography for the night was done by Journalism students.
Thank you everyone for your support of the North Clackamas Education Foundation. We couldn't do our work without you!
